movement tonics
A “Movement Tonic” is a somatic-based dance workout for adults that combines gentle choreography and free-form conscious dance to gradually raise heart rate, stimulate the lymphatic system, hydrate joints, tone muscles, and cultivate lasting fluidity and primal aliveness.
Movement is coordinated with breath-linked patterns set to rhythmic world beats.
No dance background necessary — come as you are.
The next three “Movement Tonics” will be held at the beautiful Lokahi Dance Studio in downtown Coeur d’Alene.
Attend one or all three:
Sunday, March 1st 10 am - 11:00 am
Sunday, March 8th 10 am - 11:00 am
Sunday, March 15th 10 am - 11:00 am
Fee: $18 per class
Or $40 for all three by February 8th
Pre-registration is required.

senses: blind tea pour + plant immersion
Embark on a somatic adventure into the world of one wild medicinal plant—where the identity is gradually and intuitively revealed through your senses.
Discover how this plant, thriving in the heart of our Rocky Mountain bioregion, offers its healing gifts not just to the human body, but to the land and watershed as well.
Your journey unfolds through a tapestry of sensory immersion, movement, and deep listening, inviting you to experience the plant in a profoundly embodied way.
Somatic Arrival: Ground into the space with a guided somatic drop-in, attuning the body and mind to the present moment.
Sensory Unveiling: Engage in a blind tea pour—a ritual of sensory discovery. Smell, sip, and savor the plant's unique essence, allowing your senses to form an intimate connection before its identity is revealed.
Guided Visualization: Immerse yourself in a vivid, guided journey to the plant’s hidden habitat. Picture the landscape it calls home, sense its medicinal strengths as they nourish both land and water, and let the plant slowly come into focus.
Embodied Memory: Explore the plant’s healing actions—both for you and the land—through movement-based memory tools. Gentle, repetitive motions inspired by the plant’s rhythms and supported by conscious breath help anchor your experience on a somatic level.
Outdoor Walk: For those who wish, join an optional group walk following the class to meet the plant in its natural setting.
Participants will take home a Wildcrafting Guide for the plant of focus, which will include:
Plant signatures and astrological influences
Plant identification and respectful foraging tips
Medicinal actions, organ affinities, and contraindications
Information about how the plant influences our broader watershed
Tried and true wildcrafting recipes
Local nurseries where you can order the plant for landscaping and restoration projects
Each Blind Tea Pour will focus on one native medicinal plant at a time.
Here are some examples of the plants we will be directing our awareness toward in this series—listed in no particular order… to keep it a mystery, of course!

Goldenrod
Wild Ginger
Rose

Note: For those who have attended previous plant immersions, this upcoming offering will be on a new plant.
The movement we will be engaging with is non-performative, focusing instead on cultivating subtle awareness and attentive listening throughout. No movement experience is necessary.
Fee: $45 per person. Space is limited.

Through guided somatic sensory tracking and land-based story we will experience a felt sense of our primary connection to the Earth. Korrine is a Somatic Herbalist, sharing place-based stories and somatic sensing as a way to learn about the wild medicinal plants of our rocky mountain bioregion. Journey with Mugwort
A local wild plant ally, Mugwort, found along the watery edges of the earth, will accompany us on our vibrational journey into the felt sense of Kyma. This common tea plant has deep roots in various cultures, including those of the first peoples of this land, serving as a gentle guide into the watery subconscious through dream activation. We will engage with the subtle nuances of this plant through multi-sensory experiences of tea, leaf pattern recognition, and its sage-like artemisia notes.

The result, a profound feeling of kinship with the plant, the land, and community in which you live.

Outdoor Tea & Movement Meditations
Lapis Sky outdoor tea and movement meditations are small group gatherings designed to open sensory channels for learning about local medicinal plants, from the plants themselves.
Each offering focuses on one specific plant and naturally they are all a little different.
The general rhythm:
We walk out to where the plant is growing in nature and find a quiet place to sit and observe the plant growing.
I serve tea made from the plant of focus and offer a guided yielding practice to support dropping into a relaxed parasympathetic state.
After spending time with the plant, I lead a gentle guided movement meditation highlighting the patterns, elements, and signatures found within the plant’s cyclical unfolding and overall design.
We conclude with some journaling and optional sharing.
Duration: Two hours
Location: Announced one week leading up to the offering via a private email thread.
Fee - Donations accepted

It’s a mystery plant!
At this offering participants will find out the “plant of focus” upon arrival as a way to further promote an orientation of learning from the plant instead of arriving with a pre-researched or pre-learned mindset.
