KYMA

Greek: Wave or wave-like pattern

Join us for a summer morning dedicated to exploring the subtle kymatic waves of our inner landscape through guided somatic sensing, immersive sound bath, and land- based story.

Sound Bath & Aromatherapy

Alesha Blackwolf of Dream Time Sound Healing will deepen our experience of the fluid nature of our waterbody through a harmonious blend of vibrational sound waves and aromatherapy. This sensory experience will help soften our edges, invite calm, and open our hearts to profound soul remembering. Alesha Blackwolf is a sound alchemist and ceremonial guide who combines uplifting high-vibration sound healing with the essence of handcrafted botanical sprays, creating immersive, soul-awakening journeys that facilitate sacred remembrance, deep meditation, and inner transformation.

Somatic Sensing

Korrine Rothrock of Lapis Sky will guide us into the inner sensing terrain of our waterbody. Through guided somatic sensory tracking and land-based story we will experience a felt sense of our primary connection to the Earth. Korrine is a Somatic Herbalist, sharing place-based stories and somatic sensing as a way to learn about the wild medicinal plants of our rocky mountain bioregion. She cultivates and forages medicinal plants for her Lapis Sky herbal tea line and for the past five years has offered seasonal multi-sensory “Plant Immersions” for the community.

Journey with Mugwort

A local wild plant ally, Mugwort, found along the watery edges of the earth, will accompany us on our vibrational journey into the felt sense of Kyma. This common tea plant has deep roots in various cultures, including those of the first peoples of this land, serving as a gentle guide into the watery subconscious through dream activation. We will engage with the subtle nuances of this plant through multi-sensory experiences of tea, leaf pattern recognition, and its sage-like artemisia notes.

Date: Sunday, July 20th Time: 10am – 1:00pm

Place: The Historic Meadowbrook Hall, 8088 W. Meadowbrook Loop, Coeur d'Alene, ID 83814

Willow water - EVENING

In this upcoming Lapis Sky offering, Somatic Herbalist Korrine Rothrock will help us uncover our connection with Willow through sensory exploration, storytelling, and guided rhythmic breath and movement. These offerings focus on learning from one local plant at a time about its micro and macro medicine (medicine for the human body and the land body). They incorporate kinesthetic learning techniques and rituals – the learning tools of our ancestors. The result, a profound feeling of kinship with the plant, the land, and community in which you live.

Outdoor Tea & Movement Meditations

Outdoor Tea & Movement Meditations

Lapis Sky outdoor tea and movement meditations are small group gatherings designed to open sensory channels for learning about local medicinal plants, from the plants themselves.

Each offering focuses on one specific plant and naturally they are all a little different.

The general rhythm:

We walk out to where the plant is growing in nature and find a quiet place to sit and observe the plant growing.

I serve tea made from the plant of focus and offer a guided yielding practice to support dropping into a relaxed parasympathetic state.

After spending time with the plant, I lead a gentle guided movement meditation highlighting the patterns, elements, and signatures found within the plant’s cyclical unfolding and overall design.

We conclude with some journaling and optional sharing.

Duration: Two hours
Location: Announced one week leading up to the offering via a private email thread.
Fee - Donations accepted

It’s a mystery plant!

At this offering participants will find out the “plant of focus” upon arrival as a way to further promote an orientation of learning from the plant instead of arriving with a pre-researched or pre-learned mindset.

Cd’A Location TBA
