Blind Tea Pour

A Summer Morning in a Plant’s Home

One of my favorite summer traditions is gathering outdoors to share tea and spend time with a medicinal plant where it grows.

This time, we'll gather in a beautiful private wild setting just fifteen minutes from downtown Coeur d'Alene. (The address will be shared after registering)

We'll begin with a blind tea tasting. Without knowing the plant's name, we'll simply notice—its aroma, flavor, texture, temperature, and the unique way each of our bodies responds. There is no right experience. Curiosity is all that's required.

After sitting with our observations, I'll introduce the plant and share a little of its story—its medicinal qualities and the role it plays in the health of our watershed.

Then we'll spend time with that same plant growing nearby. Together we'll observe closely, ask questions, and explore through the senses, with easeful breath and movement woven in along the way.

This gathering celebrates the quiet simplicity of a summer morning shared with one medicinal plant, good company, and the place we find ourselves in.

Later this fall, my longer Plant Immersions will offer additional layers of story, movement, and sensory exploration for those who'd like to continue getting to know a single medicinal plant.

Whether you're new to medicinal plants or have been walking with them for years, you're warmly welcome.
