Those who know me well, know that every spring and summer I become a bit more immersed in the growing and foraging of medicinal plants for my Lapis Sky tea blends.
For me, this doing is the best kind of education. Self-directed, close to the elements, incorporating all the senses. I travel to interesting wild places in the back country of my home and I nurture an urban sanctuary on my little lot in town.
I tend to these plants and they tend to me.
In their presence I receive a renewed sense of “awe” and wonder - a sort of creative nectar which feeds my inspiration for all of my Lapis Sky offerings.

But it doesn’t stop there.
Regardless of what our mainstream culture tries to tell us about the need to scale up, when we look beyond the myopic monetary yardstick, the small-scale approach to just about all matters in life is what equates the biggest return for the beings involved.
It is from a small-scale orientation that we become more present to one another’s fundamental needs, more intimately connected, and more satisfied as a whole.

The plants are held within a compostable tea vessel adorned with a handmade botanical sun print showcasing an exquisite pattern of a locally growing plant.
I also provide an option of a glass jar with resealable wooden lid.

Born of wild creativity and experimentation the flavors are fresh, unique, and ever changing.
The plants are grown in my backyard and ethically foraged from the wilds of North Idaho in a way that maintains a close reciprocal relationship between the human and the non-human beings living here.
